11) The R. G. Kidd General Store was built around 1940 and operated by Rufus Kidd as a general store until 2002. It offered a variety of items for sale such as canned goods, paper towels, washing powders, and fresh food such as bologna, hot dogs, and cheese. Most of the food sold was from local sources though some of the meats came from areas in neighboring North Carolina. Now the building is used as a food pantry to provide food to the local Bracey community.
